The big day has finally arrived—our arrival in Ushuaia. An indescribable emotion, made even more intense by a perfectly choreographed display of weather: the last 5 km brought a continuous alternation of wind, sun, rain, and hail, which at times even seemed like snow.
It was as if the director of this adventure had staged a performance to symbolize all the sensations we experienced at the finale.
A 3,250 km bike journey through Patagonia, from Puerto Montt to Ushuaia, wandering “tranquillamente” back and forth along the border between Argentina and Chile. As they say around here: QUIEN SE APURA EN PATAGONIA PIERDE TIEMPO!
During those last kilometers, the entire “film” of our cycling and life adventure replayed before our eyes. None of us, two years ago when we started dreaming of this trip, could have imagined we would actually achieve it!
Congratulations to:
In the evening, we gathered at the house rented for a few days and took the opportunity to reflect on the journey. Pierluigi once again led the discussion, following the reflections we’d begun a few days earlier in Punta Arenas. It was a very beautiful and intense evening, at times moving.
We all sensed this was a moment to open up our hearts once more, to exchange feelings, thoughts, and emotions. It became a chance for each of us to share the most beautiful emotions we’d kept hidden deep within during the trip.
We set off in search of the treasures of TRAPANANDA, and in the end, we found them through the inner quest for adventure, knowledge, and wonder.
After all, every traveler embarks on a journey to “discover” something, even if that something turns out to be within themselves all along.
Future plans?!
Carpe diem.
We’re heading home to reunite with wives, partners, and family members, who were also fantastic in supporting us, allowing us to live this unique and unforgettable experience.
PURA VIDA!
