On Sunday, Nov. 17 the whole group has reunited in Santiago, right after Nicola, Fabio and Antonio have driven our camper from Buenos Aires: around 1.500 km worrying that the documents of our camper were not correct! A bit of apprehension from everyone but luckily, in the end all went well and at 5.00 pm we met for the first time all together.
The Monday after, nov. 18, we finally picked up our bikes from Vermeer Chile facilities. There, the Chilean team kept the bikes in custody for about a month.
We have celebrated this moment together with a special Chilean meat: EntraƱa, Punta de Quadril, Asado de Tira and Lomo with a fantastic Toro Baio beer, together with a local Carmenere wine, very tipical of this area.
A special thanks to the whole Vermeer Chile team that helped us to clear through customs and storage our bikes for more than a month, waiting for our arrival. Christian, Alexander, Paola, Yamely and all those who have helped us up to know: thank you very much!
We are now eager to begin our adventure; today, we will arrive with the camper in Puerto Montt and, at last, Wednesday or Thursday we will depart with our bikes to the Tierra del Fuego.
Stay tuned.
