Today, a day of rest!

“Rest” is a manner of speaking, as we never actually stopped. We had to tackle some technical problems, both with the bikes (luckily here in Villa O’Higgins there are taller de bicicleta) and the camper (the clutch seems to be failing).

After lengthy discussions and careful deliberation, we decided to send the camper off tomorrow morning to take a longer route, as it won’t be able to pass through the narrow paths awaiting us in the coming days. This way, we can also try to fix the clutch.

Initially, it seemed we would have to split up and proceed along two different routes, both equally fascinating. In the end, we decided to stick together and take the more challenging road. We’re confident it will be a unique experience.

The afternoon was dedicated to preparations—packing medicine, food, spare parts, and other essentials—since we’ll be on our own without the camper for a few days.
